Electronics has certainly come a long way since the invention of the transistor, which really kicked electronics off in a major way, making all kinds of incredible inventions not only possible, but easier than they had ever been before. Nowadays, after even more years of development and refining, we are fortunate enough to live in a world where hobby electronics is not just accessible, but also relatively easy to enjoy as well, with somewhat standardised power ratings like 3.3V 5V, 12V and other common voltages. However, if you really want to get into prototyping and building custom electronics projects, you can’t simply rely on standardised power ratings, as some loose Components and modules operate on various other voltages, and to get a 1.8V power supply for testing certain diodes, for example, would require a fair amount of hassle with voltage regulators or other complex circuits. This is why we simply love Riden’s range of PSU Interfacing Modules, as these take the input power from a standard non-adjustable power supply, and offer quick, easy and efficiency regulation and conditioning to output the precise power ratings you need.

The Riden DPS5020 Digital Power Supply Module is quite a powerhouse even among other Riden PSU Modules, and is capable of an incredible 999.9W output, featuring up to 50V and 20A output capabilities and ready to cater to whatever voltage or current driving needs you have. In addition to a rugged power module that is surprisingly powerful for its cost, this module also features a 1.44-inch display with onboard controls for defining power ratings, altering settings and even saving preset power configurations. These awesome features and high quality power conditioning and regulation capabilities, coupled with the rugged and sleek Riden DP & DPS Enclosure B, are here to help you leapfrog your way into real prototyping, and at such a cost-effective price compared to professional grade Lab PSUs, it’s easily one of best tools that you, as an electronics hobbyist (or even as a professional) can get for your workshop.

Please Note: The Riden DPS5005 does NOT include a Power Supply, and will require a PSU that can provide around 1.1 times the output voltage and total power that you will need, and must not exceed 60V DC. Fortunately, we’ve made sure to stock the Ryden 60V 6.6A Power Supply, which is a great match for this fantastic power supply module.
