If you are making a CNC machine, 3D printer or linear motion project, this 8mm linear bearing housed in a durable aluminium pillow block mount is the perfect bearing solution. The aluminium platform is 34mm x 30mm and has four M4 CNC drilled, tapped, and countersunk holes, allowing you to easily and securely mount this SC8UU to nearly anything. This SC8UU unit comprises of an aluminium housing and a LM8UU linear bearing held in place with two circlips. There are also two rubber seals on either end to prevent debris or contamination of the ball bearings.
All you need to get started to make a rigid linear motion system are two end mounts, such as a pair of SK8 linear shaft supports, an 8mm linear shaft, and this SC8UU to run along the shaft, between the two end supports. Most CNC machines and 3D printers have two of these assemblies mounted side by side, using the SC8UU bearing blocks as mounts to support a moving platform.
