3D Printing is one of the more fascinating hobbies that, by its nature, allows you to constantly upgrade your machine for greater functionality. Many community-designed upgrades are even 3D printable on the very machine you are modifying. However, sometimes durable material is needed to really give your 3D Printer the best. While many 3D Printers arrive with a sturdy plastic extruder, there are exciting new extruder bodies available with clever features built in. The Micro Swiss Dual Gear Extruder is one of the best drop-in upgrades for most Bowden-style 3D printers on the market, especially a fair number of Creality models.
Crafted from CNC-cut hardened steel, the Micro Swiss Dual Gear Extruder promises reliable filament grip between two gears and easy feeding by turning the included knob. The dual gears are a common feature of Micro Swiss extruders. As the filament is fed through this double set of teeth, the Micro Swiss Dual Gear Extruder maintains a firm grip, powerfully feeding and retracting it for precise movements while printing. You can release the filament from this grip with the steel lever to pull it out. A short piece of Capricorn tubing helps you guide in new filament and the knob lets you feed it through without straining to hold the lever the whole time. As always Micro Swiss has created an awesome convenient and widely compatible 3D printer upgrade.
The Micro Swiss Dual Gear Extruder upgrade is designed to fit a NEMA 17 stepper motor within a Bowden-style extruder assembly. Micro Swiss is known for creating easy drop-in upgrades for Creality 3D, one of the most impressive Hobbyist 3D Printer brands in the world. Your Creality Ender 3, CR-10 or CR-6 SE 3D printer will easily accept the Micro Swiss Dual Gear Extruder and have you back to making and enjoying fantastic smooth filament control.

Within 3D Printing, there are a few brands whose hard work has made them stand out from the rest, with real innovation and the ability to not only refine old designs, but actually redesign from the ground up to offer more comprehensive upgrades for 3D printing enthusiasts and Makers throughout the world.
Micro Swiss is one such brand that perfectly fits this description, and since their founding back in 2015, the Micro Swiss brand has garnered world-wide attention for the quality, material composition and precision of their hotends, nozzles and other all-metal components. With a core focus on TwinClad XT Plated Brass Nozzles and All-Metal Hotend Upgrades for some of the most popular 3D Printers on the market, it’s no surprise that one of the easiest and most effective upgrades available to Makers are Micro Swiss Replacement Parts and Upgrade Kits.
In addition to the amazing 3D Printing components and upgrades that they produce, Micro Swiss also specialise in Swiss Turning, which is capable of precision CNC machining outer diameters as small as 0.0127mm, as well as CNC milling, tapping and post machining finishing for prototyping. These service offerings and correlating skillsets ensure that the Micro Swiss team is more than just capable of producing consistently high-quality parts, but also capable of identifying precisely where each part could use improvements.
As manufacturers and end-users of everything they produce, Micro Swiss is one of the most impressive brands we’ve had the pleasure of dealing with, and we look forward to all of the exciting refinements and developments that they are bound to bring out in the future.
