When trying to fix up minor quality issues or when chasing after ever-higher quality in 3D Printing, it’s often easy to overlook some of the smaller and less obvious parts in favour of the larger and more expensive parts. However, while upgrading things like Stepper Drivers, build surfaces and even entire hotends will almost always produce great results, sometimes all you actually need is a small upgrade in just the right place in order to achieve that quality you’re looking for, and to get those pristine prints that you’ve always seen professionals and content creators produce. This is why we always get excited over even the smallest 3D Upgrades that we get in, such as these E3D V6 1.75mm Bi-Metal Smooth Heat Breaks, as even these seemingly simple upgrades can play a huge role in 3D Printing quality, helping you chase after that amazing quality you’ve always dreamed of, but without having to make big investments in new Controller Boards or other more expensive parts for your machine.

These Bi-Metallic Composite Heat Breaks are designed to the classic E3D V6 1.75mm Design, and are stocked for pretty much any machine that utilises that design, which is a surprisingly wide range of different models nowadays thanks to the impressive standard that E3D set. However, unlike most other Heat Breaks on the market, these have been cleverly constructed out of two different materials, with one being a high quality, thermally conductive copper alloy, and the other being a rugged and thermally resistant strained stainless steel. These two metals, when used together in this clever way, results in fantastic heat transfer for parts that need it, and minimised heat transfer between the heater block and the unmelted filament. And while most heat breaks are designed to do the same thing, the usage of two different metals drastically improves the way that thermal transfer needs to work in Hotend Assemblies, ultimately resulting in faster printing times due to better thermal transfer, but also fewer problems relating to heat creep – making these some of the best 3D Upgrades on the market despite the tiny size and nice low price.

Please Note: This is the threaded version, and as such may not be compatible with all hotend assemblies. With this in mind, we recommend taking a look at your current heat break to see if yours is threaded or smooth, and if you do need the smooth version instead, then be sure to take a look at the E3D V6 1.75mm Bi-Metal Smooth Heat Break, which is built to the exact same specifications, but features a 7mm diameter smooth end rather than a threaded end, to accommodate alternative cooling towers and hotend setups.

E3D V6 1.75mm Bi-Metal Heat Break - Threaded

Although many people may not quite recognise the name, BIQU is a fantastic brand that originated as BigTreeTech, and began their journey in the 3D Printing world by creating motherboards and other electronics that were made to enhance the functionality, ease of use and overall capabilities of other 3D Printers. However, after gaining a firm popularity as some the leaders in 3D Upgrades, they have also now branched off and created BIQU, a brand dedicated to creating entire 3D Printers for hobbyists like us.

Compared to many of the brands on the market, what we particularly love about BIQU is the way that their models come fully equipped with all of the exciting BigTreeTech controller boards, stepper drivers and other awesome components that are typically installed into other 3D Printers as powerful upgrades. These include the popular SKR motherboards, the BTT TMC Drivers, BTT TFT displays and other minor (but still valuable) upgrades that are often installed on Creality 3D Printers, but since these “upgrades” come stock on BIQU 3D Printers, you can enjoy even more reliable operations and functionality due to the fact that their machines are built specifically with their own boards and components in mind. This has resulted in BIQU creating some of the leading 3D Printers on the market, which don’t need any upgrades or improvements to match the quality of leading brands, and with many of the BIQU models actually surpassing the quality and capabilities of most other Hobbyist 3D Printers on the market.

If you love the idea of upgrading 3D Printers with all kinds of fun and functional upgrades, but aren’t too interested in getting a basic model that you have to actually upgrade yourself, the BIQU range of 3D Printers is the answer, bringing excellent quality coupled with all of the current best features available to 3D Makers.
