The Creality K1 Max PEI Build Plate is designed to the exact same standards as the stock K1 Max A plate, but has been equipped with powder coated PEI, making it your B plate. With both on hand, you can swap out your A plate with the Powder coated PEI B plate at will by simply taking one off and magnetically sticking the other directly on top. Finally, just to add some awesome finishing touches, the powder-coated surface also carries the extra benefit of offering a beautifully textured surface finish. Compared to the ultra-smooth sheen of standard PEI Sheets, the finish created by the powder coating layer features a rougher, almost stippled surface. And while this may not be the ideal choice for everyone, we personally love to have the choice of a smooth or a textured surface when designing and printing various things – which of course is particularly beneficial for covers and front panels.
