This Red Stranded and Tinned PVC Hook-Up Wire is 24 AWG and has been designed to meet the AWM UL1007 standard, and is an excellent choice for low-voltage electronics that needs to extend over distances longer than typical jumper wires. It features a 0.2mm single copper conductive core with PVC sleeving to give it a 1.4mm outer diameter, and is essentially just a much longer jumper wire designed to a slightly higher specification in order to handle longer periods of electrical load. And whilst jumper wires are primarily made for Prototyping temporary or semi-permanent connections, this wiring is made for more permanent projects, such as for LED strip lighting and general small appliances in the home or office.
