Heat and electronics have never gone well together, often leading to serious damage and inconvenience as you attempt that 3D print one more time. Part cooling fans like this Creality 24V 4010 Axial Fan are important little additions to your hotend assembly on your 3D printer. They angle towards your print in progress to ensure the completed layer quickly solidifies so the next one can build upon it easier. There is a delicate balance of temperatures within your hotend that also requires a good fan to keep things under control so we don’t experience heat creep and clogging.

This Creality 24V 4010 Axial Fan is a handy replacement for your CR-10S Pro V2 printer cooling fan. Stocked as an Official Creality Spare, this 4010 Axial Fan is sized perfectly to slot right into place with the correct lead wires and 2-pin connector to lock into your 3D printer’s electronics. Your original fan may have gathered too much dust and jammed, no longer cooling effectively. A new fresh fan will clear up these difficulties while printing. Additionally, little active cooling units like these 24V 4010 Axial Fans are ideal for cooling all kinds of electronics projects within enclosures or boards. If you are looking for more options however, our range of cooling fans come in all shapes and sizes for you to use for ensuring that your components stay safe from overheating.

Helpful Tips for Installing your Creality 24V 4010 Axial Fan:

Whilst many experienced Makers would consider the installation process of a cooling fan to be relatively simple, installing fans on hobbyist 3D Printers is unfortunately not as simple as it should be. Fortunately though, we’ve prepared these handy notes on this process, which should help you get your fan installed perfectly, and without any unexpected damage or hassles. They are as follows:

  • Check Your Polarities – Because many of the hobbyist fans and 3D Printers available to Makers are typically supplied by different manufacturers from all over the world, the first step that you should take is to check the polarity of the fan with a simple multimeter. This simple and relatively quick polarity check will ensure that you don’t break your new fan (or potentially worse) the moment you turn on the power.
  • Wiring Colours May Not Always Match – Don’t simply rely on colours that many of these fans are provided with, because they may not always have the same wiring colours as other fans with the exact same or similar specifications. Additionally, we’ve found that some 3D Printers may also have different wiring, which can sometimes even depend on the batch within the same series. As such, double-check the polarity and markings on the related boards as well, so that you don’t end up running your fan backwards or causing unexpected damage before you even get a chance to use the fan.
  • Matching Your Mounting Points – Given the fact that so many new models of 3D Printers come out each year, some machines might have slightly different mounting points. Fortunately though, this is one of the easiest problems to fix by simply printing yourself a mounting unit to perfectly fit your fan.

Creality 24V 4010 Axial Fan – For CR-10S Pro V2

Although Creality 3D have been working within the industry since 2014, their addition of the Creality CR-10 series is what really catapulted them to the front line of competition, as it offered substantially better quality compared to other 3D printers – while simultaneously reducing the cost and complexities of the machines.

The quality of Creality’s 3D Printers and accessories shows through in their market history, with the brand selling around 3000 printers in their first year on the market, followed by about 10,000 sales over the next year. Now, Creality easily sells around 30,000 or more 3D printers each year, with sales continuously rising as they bring out more models. These are impressive numbers when considering the fact that they entered the industry as unknown competitors, quickly rising through the ranks and now even competing with Wanhao and similar top brands.

If you are looking for excellent 3D Printers that offer affordability without compromising on quality, Creality 3D is certainly a brand that you should take note of. From the basic Creality Ender 2 all the way up to the large build volume Creality CR-10 S5, there are few other brands who are capable of offering such a refined package while still maintaining some of the most enticing prices in the industry.
