The nozzle on your 3D printer is a small yet extremely crucial part to consider in your lineup of upgrades. Changing to a hardened nozzle will open your world to printing more interesting filaments and increase the smoothness of your machine. Micro Swiss is a leading designer dedicated to refining and improving this aspect of 3D printer components, and they have actually garnered an impressive reputation for providing some of the highest quality 3D printer nozzles in the world. One of their newest designs is this high-temperature resistant 0.8mm Micro Swiss CM2 MK8 Nozzle.

A simple upgrade to skyrocket your 3D printing hobby, this 0.8mm Micro Swiss CM2 MK8 Nozzle is made from a unique copper alloy and hardened with steel and nickel plating. If you’re ready to elevate your 3D printing to more than just PLA and PETG, then this nozzle upgrade is exactly what you need to print all filament types. Its strong materials can withstand high-temperature printing and accommodates quick heat transference for printing smoother than ever. The tip of the nozzle is hardened with steel, allowing you to print abrasive 3D filaments without damaging your nozzle. Experiment with a whole new world of Carbon Fibre, woodfill, and other interesting exotic filaments.

Note: This is a Micro Swiss Original MK8 Nozzle, supplied directly by the industry leaders in nozzle R&D and Production. This ensures premium quality and lasting durability, even when dealing with high-corrosion filaments like Carbon Fiber and MetalFill.

Typical Applications for these 0.8mm Micro Swiss CM2 MK8 Nozzles:

The 0.8mm size is quite large compared to the hobbyist standard of 0.4mm, and is made to print at higher speeds while sacrificing slightly on print accuracy and fine details. This is great for if you are mass-producing low-detail prototypes or models with reasonably light detail-work. However, because of the larger output diameter, these can be printed fast. And while this nozzle still doesn’t quite compare to the intense speeds that a full 2mm nozzle can, it is quite a lot faster than the 0.5mm Micro Swiss Nozzle, which of course prints at a faster rate than the smaller 0.4mm and 0.2mm nozzles as well. However, if you’re looking for similar nozzles, only slightly larger or smaller, be sure to look through out entire Range of Nozzles, which are available in sizes from as small as 0.2mm all the way up to extra-large 2mm output nozzles.

Please Note: These nozzles do not fit the Creality CR-10S Pro stock hotend assemblies, since they use an M6-0.75 thread instead of the standard M6-1 thread.

Within 3D Printing, there are a few brands whose hard work has made them stand out from the rest, with real innovation and the ability to not only refine old designs, but actually redesign from the ground up to offer more comprehensive upgrades for 3D printing enthusiasts and Makers throughout the world.

Micro Swiss is one such brand that perfectly fits this description, and since their founding back in 2015, the Micro Swiss brand has garnered world-wide attention for the quality, material composition and precision of their hotends, nozzles and other all-metal components. With a core focus on TwinClad XT Plated Brass Nozzles and All-Metal Hotend Upgrades for some of the most popular 3D Printers on the market, it’s no surprise that one of the easiest and most effective upgrades available to Makers are Micro Swiss Replacement Parts and Upgrade Kits.

In addition to the amazing 3D Printing components and upgrades that they produce, Micro Swiss also specialise in Swiss Turning, which is capable of precision CNC machining outer diameters as small as 0.0127mm, as well as CNC milling, tapping and post machining finishing for prototyping. These service offerings and correlating skillsets ensure that the Micro Swiss team is more than just capable of producing consistently high-quality parts, but also capable of identifying precisely where each part could use improvements.

As manufacturers and end-users of everything they produce, Micro Swiss is one of the most impressive brands we’ve had the pleasure of dealing with, and we look forward to all of the exciting refinements and developments that they are bound to bring out in the future.
