As any experienced 3D Maker will know, there are few things more satisfying in 3D Printing then finally completing a multi-day print and getting good print quality while doing so. However, in just the same way, there are few things more heart-breaking than waking up to a multi-day print that has failed along the way, resulting in a mess of blobs or spaghetti that completely ruins any chances of a good print. This is why Filament Runout Sensors have become so popular over the past few years, as these simple but effective little addons help to prevent absolute disasters, and instead of failed prints resulting in an absolute mess, they pause the print and give you an opportunity to save it.

These Filament Runout Sensors for the BIQU B1 are designed much like typical Filament Break Detectors, with a limit switch that constantly keeps track of the filament in the chamber, but are built specifically for the awesome the BIQU B1 3D Printer. They are quite compact in size, making them both lightweight and easy to install, with simple 3-wire interfaces for connecting directly to the controller board, LCD module or other components responsible for reacting to the break detection signals. This means that you no longer have to keep an eagle-eye on your 3D Printers just in case the filament breaks or runs out, and can instead go to bed with the peace of mind knowing that your big and bodacious prints will either complete successfully, or will at least give you the opportunity to fix any problems before they are irreversible.

Although many people may not quite recognise the name, BIQU is a fantastic brand that originated as BigTreeTech, and began their journey in the 3D Printing world by creating motherboards and other electronics that were made to enhance the functionality, ease of use and overall capabilities of other 3D Printers.
