The detail quality of resin 3D printing amazes us every time, but we were not prepared to witness the wonders of 8K resolution! SLA or DLP Printers are known in the industry for reaching levels of detail that cannot be reached with FDM 3D printers. The Creality Halot series of resin 3D printers offer higher levels of detail, faster print speeds, and larger build volume with each new model. This Creality Halot-Mage Pro offers high-speed resin printing while preforming 8K print magic.
The original Halot-Mage is a joy to run, presenting prints with higher definition than we’ve seen before, and not the second model for this range is here, the Halot-Mage Pro. The biggest stand-out feature of this awesome resin printer is its fantastic print speed. Boasting a 3-5 times faster print speed than other machines in the market, the Halot-Mage Pro clocks a 170mm/h print speed that still gets you the best results you asked for with an 8K resin printer. The 8K mono LCD print screen results in incredible print details. Each one is a sight to beholdresi. You will see the hair, fabric, skin textures, and other organic shapes come to life on your 3D models. Sitting with a larger 228x128x230mm build volume, the Halot-Mage Pro is reinforced with dual z-axis rails and builds upon the best features that came before.
With all this in mind, it made sense as to why Creality moved away from adding this to the LD series and rather started a fresh and exciting new resin Halot Series. If you are interested in resin 3D printing be sure to have a look at the UW-01 and UW-02 clean and cure stations to make post-processing much easier.

It is clear Creality has broken away from the LD range with the release of the Halot series. The DIYElectronics team have been eager to really dive in and discover everything this new 3D printer range has to offer, and we are happy to say we are thoroughly impressed. In short, the Creality Halot-Mage and the new Halot-Mage Pro 3D Resin Printers combines precision with the convenient innovation of the whole Halot series.
This is the first high-speed resin printer we’ve seen and we immensely enjoyed the sturdy build volume at 228x128x230mm for some bigger projects. At the large scale and 170mm/h print speed, the Halot-Mage Pro seems designed for a professional and accommodates the workload with dual z-axis guide rails. The Halot-Mage Pro simplifies the resin printing process and tries a new trick with a smart resin pump. While we aren’t sure if this pump will prove a good idea in practice, it is a step into automation that leads to interesting ideas. We only suggest cleaning this pump’s pipes before changing resin to avoid mixing odd remanence of colours into your new resin bath. Its flip protective cover is a game-changer, making it easy to access your prints without dealing with an obstructive lid. But above all, the 8K resolution throws the ball out of the park. Tiny details that you never noticed before come to life on this printer. Lifelike textures that photos can barely do justice.
If you’re eager to get a second opinion, this YouTube no-nonsense review gives a great discussion of the Creality Halot Mage Pro and it’s new features:
No customer reviews for the moment.
Although Creality 3D have been working within the industry since 2014, their addition of the Creality CR-10 series is what really catapulted them to the front line of competition, as it offered substantially better quality compared to other 3D printers – while simultaneously reducing the cost and complexities of the machines.
The quality of Creality’s 3D Printers and accessories shows through in their market history, with the brand selling around 3000 printers in their first year on the market, followed by about 10,000 sales over the next year. Now, Creality easily sells around 30,000 or more 3D printers each year, with sales continuously rising as they bring out more models. These are impressive numbers when considering the fact that they entered the industry as unknown competitors, quickly rising through the ranks and now even competing with Wanhao and similar top brands.
If you are looking for excellent 3D Printers that offer affordability without compromising on quality, Creality 3D is certainly a brand that you should take note of. From the basic Creality Ender 2 all the way up to the large build volume Creality CR-10 S5, there are few other brands who are capable of offering such a refined package while still maintaining some of the most enticing prices in the industry.
