The Creality Halot Series has made waves in the maker community with accessible 3D Resin Printers not only in cost but also in a user-friendly design. As the pioneer of this ground-breaking series, the Halot One has received great praise as an ideal resin printer for beginner and casual hobbyists. However, all machines can be improved upon and Creality 3D has catered for those Makers looking for a bit more smart functionality by providing two brand new versions of the Halot One – The Halot-One Plus and the Halot-One Pro!

Like many Makers within our Community, we were intensely curious about what these new Halot-One’s had to offer. With larger build volumes, greater resolution LCD screens for crisp prints, and reinforced dual Z-axis structures, these new 3D Printers adopt some awesome features of the Halot-Sky while maintaining the charming accessibility of the Halot One. The Halot-One Pro stands apart with an improvement to 3K resolution for its inside LCD screen, a 36% volume increase from the Halot-One, and equally distinguishes itself with other exciting unique features that are worth exploring.

What are the New Features of the Creality Halot-One Pro?

  • 90% Precision Light Source with 3K Resolution LCD – Unlike FDM 3D Printers there are far fewer parts that can be upgraded with resin 3D Printers. So, changing a critical part such as the light source is a high risk. However, Creality succeeded in achieving high reward for their new 120W power super spotlight and integral light system in the Halot-One 3D Printer which the Halot-One Pro has uniquely adapted for even more efficiency! This refraction and reflection-based system consists of 6 light sources capable of outputting 6000uw/cm2 and claims an impressive above 90% illumination uniformity. Compared to the 40W Parallel Matrixed UV Array, found in the LD series, the 120W Power Super Spotlight allows for faster and higher detailed prints when combined with the 7.04-inch Monochrome 3K LCD and powerful motherboard.
  • Reinforced Z-axis Structure – The Halot-One Pro 3D Printer offers 130x122x160mm build volume which gives you that extra bit of space for the bigger models you’re itching to print, while maintaining micron-level precision with its new 3K LCD. It’s only natural that a heavily reinforced dual linear z-axis guide rails and a dual ball and screw configuration come included in the Creality Halot-One Pro. With this durability and stable machine body, this design nearly eliminates the chance of backlash and smoothly moves the print platform. This allows your printer to achieve the fantastic results we expect from a 3K LCD screen and integral light source.
  • 64-bit Creality Motherboard with WiFi – Creality has developed a powerful new motherboard for the Halot series The Halot-One Pro motherboard features a formidable 64-bit ARM Cortex processor to provide faster processing times and ultimately faster printing speeds. An interesting addition to the Halot Series motherboard is the built-in WiFi. So, if you are tired of having to transfer files using a memory card, or you are away from your printer, then you can slice and send files to your Halot-One Pro remotely using HALOTBOX. The WiFi capabilities also allow the Halot-One Pro to perform Over-The-Air firmware updates at the touch of a button.
  • 5-inch Capacitive Touch Screen with Creality UI – Creality has recently started putting lots of effort into making their 3D Printers as user-friendly as possible, and the Halot-One Pro is no different. Instead of the 3.5” or 4.3” Touchscreen found on the LD series the Halot-One Pro features a large 5-inch Capacitive Touch Screen. This means that the interface is clearly visible and buttons are easier to press. To complement this display, Creality has released a new user interface that was designed for simple, responsive, and easy to navigate, while still providing access to all the features you need.

On top of all this, we were delighted to see the Halot-One Pro providing Creality’s handy activated carbon air filtration to reduce odours during prints. The system’s fan is even conveniently placed on the top of the base where it is cleaned or replaced without the need of opening your whole 3D Printer. These conveniences show Creality’s thoughtfulness in consistently improving each new 3D Printer design.

It made sense as to why Creality moved away from adding this to the LD series and rather started a fresh and exciting new resin series. If you are interested in resin 3D printing be sure to have a look at the UW-01 and UW-02 clean and cure stations to make post-processing much easier.

Please Note: The Halot-One Pro is compatible with HALOTBOX, Chitubox and Lychee slicers.

Our Verdict on the Creality Halot-One CL-60 Pro 3D Printer:

It is clear Creality has broken away from the LD range with the release of the Halot series. The Halot-One 3D Printer was the pioneer of the entire range and the DIYElectronics team have revelled in the discoveries of what this series had next to show us. The Halot-One Pro and the Halot-One Plus were interesting surprises, creating a group of 3 printers to sit within the affordable range for any Hobbyist Maker to pick up and love!

This Halot One-Pro encompasses everything we enjoyed about the Halot One while offering further improvements we didn’t know we wanted, until now. The 130x122x160mm build volume places this printer between the Halot One and the Halot Sky in size range with a few extra smart features. This brings exciting possibilities for small businesses and 3D Hobbyists looking to print slightly bigger scale models at higher resolution detail without going too over budget. And more small conveniences appear the closer you look. The vat, in which your liquid resin sits, includes 240mL, 360mL, 480mL, and 600mL measurement lines for handy reference when pouring and knowing how much resin you have left in your vat for the next print. The activated carbon filtration system not only does wonders for reducing odour but is also located on the top of the base where it’s easily cleaned or replaced. We are confident to say the Halot-One Pro is an enjoyable and highly precise resin printer.

Creality Halot-One CL-60 Pro 3D Printer

Creality Halot-One CL-60 Pro 3D Printer

Although Creality 3D have been working within the industry since 2014, their addition of the Creality CR-10 series is what really catapulted them to the front line of competition, as it offered substantially better quality compared to other 3D printers – while simultaneously reducing the cost and complexities of the machines.

The quality of Creality’s 3D Printers and accessories shows through in their market history, with the brand selling around 3000 printers in their first year on the market, followed by about 10,000 sales over the next year. Now, Creality easily sells around 30,000 or more 3D printers each year, with sales continuously rising as they bring out more models. These are impressive numbers when considering the fact that they entered the industry as unknown competitors, quickly rising through the ranks and now even competing with Wanhao and similar top brands.

If you are looking for excellent 3D Printers that offer affordability without compromising on quality, Creality 3D is certainly a brand that you should take note of. From the basic Creality Ender 2 all the way up to the large build volume Creality CR-10 S5, there are few other brands who are capable of offering such a refined package while still maintaining some of the most enticing prices in the industry.
