The Creality K1 series quickly became the brands new flagship printers for professionals and any Makers wishing to stretch the limits of 3D printing. The high-speed Core XY design and box frame enclosure is the perfect design or stability and speed. It’s only getting better from there and now a new K1 has released. The Creality K1C is the next evolution of the K1 series, offering advanced features tailored for carbon fibre printing.

Similar to the K1 with 600mm/s printing speed, the Creality K1C 3D Printer is the ultimate optimised printer for one of the toughest filaments of all, carbon fibre. The biggest change that makes this printer so good at printing carbon fibre is the new tri-metal “unicorn” hotend and quick-swap nozzle. Creality boasts a clog-free extruder that is built to withstand carbon fibre filament and guide in smoothly out the hardened-steel tip of the nozzle. Just like its predecessors, the K1C printer is preassembled so you can start printing after just a few boot up steps. This is truly a professional printer, fully enclosed and ready to industrial grade filament with remarkable ease.

New Optimised Features of the Creality K1C 3D Printer:

On top of the amazing K1 series its based on, the Creality K1C includes some interesting new features optimised for carbon fibre filament and worth diving into. We can’t list everything on this amazing printer, these are the stand-out advancements we’re so excited for.

  • High-Speed Printing – The coreXY design is ready for speed while providing stable print quality. Every aspect of this printer’s sturdy frame to a high flow hotend comes together to give you 600mm/s print speeds and a whopping 20000mm/s2 acceleration. Creality’s first coreXY 3D printer certainly does impress. Print your first Bency in 13min. You can fine-tune your speed to print fast and pump out high quality prints every time.
  • New All-Metal Extruder & Tri-Metal “Unicorn” Nozzle – The hotend and extruder received an upgrade in the K1C printer to have you print carbon fibre as smooth as butter. The all-metal dual-gear extruder is enhanced with a bolster spring and ball plunger, tightly gripping filament and preventing clogs. The tri-metal “unicorn” nozzle is a steel-tipped copper nozzle that is integrated with a titanium alloy heatbreak, enabling quick swaps and ensuring optimal performance with carbon fibre filament.
  • AI Camera – The Creality K1C has AI smart features! The Camera allows you to monitor you prints remotely and can even tell you if something is in the way before you press go.
  • PEI Flexi Build Plate – The magnetic flexible build plate we know and love is now sporting a PEI build surface. This is a great surface for carbon fibre and other fantastic filaments. Remember, PEI is amazing for bed adhesion, but don’t let your print stick too well. It is highly recommended to use a glue stick on this bed. Not to help it stick, but to help it unstick! The glue acts as an intermediate layer to help you remove prints. Also, the flexible bend of the plate helps you pop them off.
  • Automatic Bed Levelling – You can truly be hands-free as you press print, sit back, and watch the K1C make magic. The auto-levelling system takes care of setting the z-offset and automatically levelling your print bed to get the perfect first layer.
  • Silent Mode & Air Purifier – An active carbon filter catches the printing fumes commonly expelled with advanced materials like carbon fibre. Enjoy your office environment without smelly melting plastics. Additionally, a silent mode provides even more calm, with noise levels below 45dB.
  • Klipper Software and WiFi Control – Yes, the Creality K1 series is their first step away from Marlin operating and into the wide possibilities of Klipper. With their modified Klipper firmware, you can enjoy the smart connected network and control your 3D printer straight from your PC or phone. With space to install a camera, the software will even let you monitor your prints after a bit of tinkering. See your print progress, temperatures, and speeds from anywhere.
  • Fully Enclosed and Preassembled – The Creality K1C is boxed in to keep your printers free from stray cool winds and printing at optimal temperatures. Enclosures are particularly useful for printing temperamental filaments like ABS. Preassembled and ready to go, the K1C will have you printing advanced filaments like carbon fibre within minutes.

With a high-speed Core XY design and a maximum print speed of 600 mm/s, the K1C delivers exceptional performance while maintaining stability and precision. The printer even includes quality-of-life features such as a silicone wiping strip to clean the nozzle, pre-installed feet, anti-shatter film, a reinforced cable chain, and a damper hinge to avoid door slamming. The K1C offers hassle-free printing for both beginners and experienced users. We can go on all day about the amazing advancements present in the Creality K1C for any hobbyist 3D Maker to enjoy.

Creality K1-C 3D Printer – Carbon Fibre Printing

Creality K1-C 3D Printer – Carbon Fibre Printing

Although Creality 3D have been working within the industry since 2014, their addition of the Creality CR-10 series is what really catapulted them to the front line of competition, as it offered substantially better quality compared to other 3D printers – while simultaneously reducing the cost and complexities of the machines.

The quality of Creality’s 3D Printers and accessories shows through in their market history, with the brand selling around 3000 printers in their first year on the market, followed by about 10,000 sales over the next year. Now, Creality easily sells around 30,000 or more 3D printers each year, with sales continuously rising as they bring out more models. These are impressive numbers when considering the fact that they entered the industry as unknown competitors, quickly rising through the ranks and now even competing with Wanhao and similar top brands.

If you are looking for excellent 3D Printers that offer affordability without compromising on quality, Creality 3D is certainly a brand that you should take note of. From the basic Creality Ender 2 all the way up to the large build volume Creality CR-10 S5, there are few other brands who are capable of offering such a refined package while still maintaining some of the most enticing prices in the industry.
