Experienced tinkerers know how one cannot simply plug electronics components into a power supply without a few important checks first. Especially when combining multiple open-source components into an exciting new prototype, you may be disappointed to find your sensor not working properly or even damaged. This can happen when the electrical level of your component and controller is incompatible. That’s why we endeavour to stock a variety of level converters to fit your electronic projects. The 4 channel Fermion level converter allows for high voltage and low voltage logic bidirectional conversion from 1.65V to 5.5V.
This Fermion Level Converter features 4 channels with high conversion speeds up to 24Mbps, and is surprisingly easy to use even for beginners with its automatic bidirectional conversions. The two sides of the module have port A and port B pins. The VCCA pins work with the supply voltage range of 1.65V to 3.6V, and the VCCB pins withstand from 2.3V to 5.5V. Using the 4-channel Level converter, you can reach 24Mbps conversion speed in push-pull applications and up to 2Mbps in open-drain applications. The Fermion Level Converter is also designed to use with Arduino and similar types of microcontroller boards. You can step up or step down your electrical levels with easy communication protocols such as I2C and UART.

As self-proclaimed “Robo-holics”, DFRobot is a company comprised of over 100 staff members, of which 30% are engineers who love to build robots. It was started in 2008 with the goal of embracing and promoting open-source hardware, with a core focus on Arduino, Raspberry Pi and their very own LattePanda development boards. Since then, DFRobot have manufactured over 1300 unique modules, sensors and components that all work together and complement each other, allowing users like us to enjoy a full spectrum of cutting edge robotics and electronics without having to pay premium prices.
With the primary goal of developing and manufacturing great quality products, while making them accessible to as many people as possible, DFRobot are rapidly becoming one of the most common-place brands in the world of open-source robotics and electronics. With more than 1300 products developed in-house, and an impressive range of different categories and specialisations, there are few brands in the world who can compete in terms of quality, accessibility and genuine innovation.
