Hotend Assemblies are one of the most delicate mechanical components in 3D Printing. All the action centres on the hotend, which must carefully balance extreme temperatures to ensure smooth printing. The Maker industry has seen so many different designs and styles come and go, but the all-metal models have stood the test of time. Enhanced with more benefits, the Phaetus Dragon Hotend has a complex heatsink with an inner and outer shell for strong structure and easy cooling.
The Phaetus Dragon Ultra-High Flow Hotend features a superior titanium alloy heat break, switchable flow rates, one-handed nozzle changing and ultra-high printing speed. With a very impressive and well-engineered all-metal design, the Phaetus Dragon UHF includes a lengthened plated copper heat block which makes up to 70.5mm³/s flow rate possible. You can switch easily between different flow rates without changing the nozzle. This means you will skyrocket your print speeds while printing various types of 3D Filament, from PLA and ABS to advanced PEEK and Woodfill filaments. The thin 0.25mm titanium heat break reduces the chance for clogging and doubles for great heat and wear resistance.
Reaching 500°C print temperatures, the Phaetus Dragon hotend bares quite a strong resemblance to the Mosquito Hotend, coupled with a bit of E3D V6 design and a sprinkle of Micro Swiss mixed in. However, despite being quite the mish-mash of different designs, it does an excellent job at reigning all of these different designs together to create a hotend that is not only excellent at laying down filament, but also extremely lightweight and fast too. This “borrowing” of various designs means that the Phaetus Dragon also offers the awesome one-handed nozzle change like the Mosquito Hotends do, with a tiny, highly thermally conductive cooling tower, braces to protect the heat break from, well, breaking, and can even be used without the Boron Nitride Heat Paste that is typically required when using the Mosquito.

When comparing the Phaetus Dragon UHF Hotend to other Phaetus Dragon models, the major differences are the superior thermal isolation and the high adjustable flow rate. Similar to its sibling models, the Phaetus Dragon UHF is primarily designed to replace the classic E3D V6 hotend on standard 3D Printers, but offers a high rate of flow due to the enlarged thermal mass and clever material composition, while also maintaining an extremely low weight for faster and more responsive motion. However, the ultra-high flow rate of 70.5mm³/s blows many competitive hotend models out of the water!
These Phaetus Dragon Hotends are loved by Makers for their advanced features, wide compatibility with almost any stock 3D Printer, and high level of durability and component quality that ensure it will last for far longer than just a few hundred prints.
