For all the time spent staring at our 3D printers, Makers naturally have the urge to build them into the best machines they could be. With a highly advanced all-metal hotend, like the Phaetus Dragonfly, you can print a greater range of 3D filaments at up to 500°C with incredible smooth flow rates. The developers at Phaetus created the new Dragonfly hotend with a conical surface design and greater print efficiency than before!
The Phaetus Dragonfly BMO Hotend is designed for mounting on any 3D printer with your titan or BMG extruders. With a focus on durability and better heat dissipation, the DragonFly Hotend is mainly composed of copper alloy materials. The heat sink and heat break are designed with conical surface fitting which means they are closely fitted into place to increase the contact area of the heat dissipation. These careful design choices allow the Phaetus team to boast of a greatly reduced chance for filament clogging within your hotend. With some tweaking to get all your settings just right, you can smoothly print almost all types of filaments, including PLA, ABS, PETG, Nylon, PEEK, PEI, and other abrasive filaments like woodfill.
Arriving in a smart blue colour, this Phaetus Dragonfly BMO Hotend is classified with a standard flow rate, which is still higher than many stock hotends on the market. Within the heat break, the filament will smoothly freed through a thin inner hole of only Ra0.3 roughness. The Phaetus Dragonfly Hotend is known in the Maker community for its lightweight and high-quality printing!
Please Note: this is the BMO version of the Phaetus Dragonfly Hotend, which means it is not designed for a direct mount. Rather, this hotend is compatible with the 3D extruders below. If you prefer to install you hotend on direct mount, check out our Phaetus Dragonfly BMS Hotend.
