Fantastic New Features of the Miniware TS101 Smart Soldering Iron

As an upgraded version of the TS100, the Miniware TS101 Smart Soldering Iron includes all its best features and adds a few extra for quality of life. The TS101 is a programmable soldering iron with an OLED display, 2 operation buttons, and removable soldering tips. Operating at 40°C to 400°C with a wide input voltage of 9V to 24V DC, this soldering iron is ready to help you make your dream projects.

What’s the difference between the TS100 and TS101? Let’s have a look at what Miniware’s new and improved TS101 has to offer:

  • Built-In Stand – A stand out feature (pun intended) of the TS101 is the inclusion of a stand to rest your soldering iron safely on your work desk without it rolling away or touching your table. This stand doubles as a non-slip cap while you hold it to prevent burning your fingers.
  • USB Type C and Portability – The TS101 swaps the micro-USB port for the superior USB Type C, allowing you to both program your device and power it easily through a portable power bank. The standard DC port is also available if you need it, but please note to never plug both power supplies in at the same time.
  • 15 Seconds Heat-Up Time – The TS101 rapidly heats up within 15 seconds to your chosen temperature depending on the power supply used.
  • New Firmware Upgrade – The programmable features of the TS101 soldering iron allows you to customise soldering temperatures, sleep timers, power settings and make us of even more modes. Firmware upgrades are easy and quick through online open source.

Please Note: The TS101 is designed as an upgrade replacement for your TS100 soldering iron. Many of the same accessories and soldering tips will also click snugly into the TS101, allowing you to switch to the newer version with no compatibility issues.

Miniware TS101 Smart Soldering Iron

Miniware TS101 Smart Soldering Iron

Guangzhou e-Design Intelligent Technology, or more affectionately known as Miniware to us electronics enthusiasts, is the brand that created the awesome TS100 Soldering Iron, and this single item is what helped them rapidly grow in popularity, due to the impressive quality coupled with fancy features – all in a beautifully portable design that can even be powered by LiPo Cell Packs!

Although Miniware remained somewhat unknown before the launch of the TS100, they have actually been involved in electronics design since as far back as 2000, and they hold the title of being the first in the world to design a portable handheld oscilloscope in 2009. Since then, however, Miniware has been rapidly gaining popularity due to the impressive level of quality and sophistication of each their awesome products, and how they manage to fit even more features and functionality into their handheld devices than many of the popular desktop devices within the same price range.

With almost every single one of their awesome products being a truly valuable addition to almost any workshop space, Miniware are one of our favourite brands. And while they certainly don’t release new products often, we simply love to get new goodies in from the moment they are prototyped, so that we can enjoy the awesome new features (both novel and functional) that they have chosen to integrate.
