For anyone who has taken a good browse through our many categories, you may have seen that we stock a fair selection of different Camera Modules, with a range that caters to various different microcontrollers like Arduino Boards and Raspberry Pi. However, sometimes when building a project you may just want a standard USB Camera that you can simply plug in, provide minimal code for, and then utilise for image or video capturing, deep learning and machine learning, or even to build cool applications like Magic Mirrors and other fun stuff. For these kinds of projects, there are few better choices than these USB Camera Modules for Raspberry Pi & NVIDIA, as these are built to offer the simplest usability possible, with native support for both Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Platforms that enable you to get straight into the action with just the bare minimum of extra code and installation required.

These USB Camera Modules utilise a classic CMOS sensor and offer around a 0.3-megapixel resolution at up to 640x480. It supports the common MJPG file format as well as the lesser known – but very clever – YUV file format, and features plug ‘n’ play operability with common operating systems such as Windows, Android, iOS and Linux. These are all complemented by the common 5V USB power input, meaning that you can power these cameras directly from a microcontroller without much hassle, and these Modules even include a built in infrared filter to help protect the image sensor while simultaneously ensuring image colour depth that is closer to what we humans see. These features, coupled with a surprising level of versatility and an excellent build quality, makes these USB Camera Modules for Raspberry Pi & NVIDIA some of the nicest, easiest to use cameras that we’ve ever had in stock.
