As massive fans of Micro:Bit's continued innovation and dedication to quality and affordability (traits that we also strive to uphold) we couldn’t pass up at the opportunity to get this custom Line-Tracking Course from DFRobot. This little “crash-course” features a 15mm line in the shape of an oval on one side, and a 15mm line in a sideways figure eight (infinity symbol) on the other side, making two distinct tracks for you to test out and train your world-domination line-tracking robots before releasing them into the wild.

If you’re a big fan of DFRobot, like we are, you may also be delighted in the fact that this course can also double-up as a large DFRobot Flag to hang up on the wall too. This demonstrates your passion for robotics and the DFRobot Brand, while also offering the extra benefit of being very easy to keep out of the way when not in use training bots.

Please Note: This doesn’t include the cheeky little bot who is photo-bombing some of the images. He was just keen to show off his skills while we were taking the pictures.

Typical Applications for Micro:Bit Line-Tracking Course:

While the typical use case for this map is to help with training bots for line-tracking (which we all know is the first step towards world domination), here at DIYElectronics we like to use it as a flag to promote our favourite hobbyist robotics brand. However, if you do want to use it for it’s original purpose, it is compatible with almost any bot that is equipped with Line Tracking, including the range of buildable bots that are featured in our Robotics Kits category.

So if the idea of making little robots bend to your whims excites you, then consider getting this inexpensive training course to help you give your robots the skills they need to follow lines, track down enemy soldiers and ultimately take over the world one track at a time.
