DS18B20 Waterproof Temperature Sensor
Waterproof DS18B20 Digital Temperature Sensor / Thermometer
- Temperature range: -55°C to +125°C
- Designed for : -10°C to +85°C (+- 0.5°C)
- Unique 1-Wire Interface Requires Only One Port Pin for Communication
- Programmable Resolution from 9 Bits to 12 Bits
- Waterproof package with cable
Description:
This sealed digital temperature probe lets you precisely measure temperatures in wet environments with a simple 1-Wire interface. The DS18B20 provides 9 to 12-bit (configurable) temperature readings over a 1-Wire interface, so that only one wire (and ground) needs to be connected from a central microprocessor.
The one wire Digital Temperature Sensor - DS18B20 from Maxim (formerly Dallas) is a great chip for measuring temperature in your projects. Luckily, there is a Dallas Temperature library for the arduino which makes using this sensor very easy.
This is an electronic thermometer which has high accuracy over a wide range (accurate to ±0.5°C over the range of -10°C to +85°C) (Workable from -55°C to +125°C). You can locate these thermometer chips up to 100M away from your Arduino.
