When it comes to adding functionality to a Raspberry Pi project, this multi-communications module is capable of GSM, GPRS, GNSS and Bluetooth Communications, and plugs directly onto the top of a Raspberry Pi. This enables projects to utilise global position, communications between various devices, as well as phone calls, SMS and MMS capabilities and even internet access.

Fortunately, thanks to the simple plug ‘n’ play functionality of this module, it is relatively easy to use even for beginners, and with just a little bit of learning and research you can add a wide range of functionality to almost any Raspberry Pi project. The GSM/GPRS operates on GSM 850, EGSM 900, DCS 1800 as well as PCS 1900 MHz bands, and has a quad-band auto search feature that automatically selects the best band to utilise. The GNSS uses 33 tracking channels and 99 acquisition channels, with a -165dBm tracking sensitivity.

These features make this module the ultimate Communications tool and opens up a massive range of opportunities for making advanced projects, which can track global positioning, communicate with multiple different devices and systems, and even send messages, make phone calls or connect to the internet to keep you updated.
